Sometimes we are in supply of dank, but we have nothing to actually smoke it out of. I mean, say you do not have enough to roll a blunt or a joint, or better yet, there are no open stores nearby at the time your drug dealer finally shows up to deliver the goods. If you have been in this situation, check out this step by step guide detailing how to make a pipe out of an apple using only a pen or small knife.

Materials

You will need the following items in order to transform a simple apple into a smoking device:

• An Apple
• A Hollowed Out Pen / Thin (Smoke Safe) Cylinder
• A Knife

Step 1 – Creating the Bowl

The first thing to do is to cut out what will become the bowl of the apple. Using a knife make a cone-shaped incision into the apple, the stem is a great location for this cut, as it is already concave.

Step 2 – Creating a Carb

Next using an empty pen tube or small knife punch a hole all the way through the apple that connects the bottom of the bowl.

Find the point in the middle of the pen or shaft that intersects with the bottom of the bowl, measure, mark it, and cut a triangle or rectangular hole capable of carrying smoke.

With the pen all the way through the apple you can see the pipe starting to form, one end of the pen will act as a stem to draw up the smoke, the other end will be the carb, while the hole cut in the apple is the bowl, or spot for the weed. If you prefer, you can put a screen in this location for the bowl, but I prefer the natural apple taste.

Step 3 – Lock and Load

After loading up the bowl, this apple pipe will give you a disposable piece with a carb, capable of being utilized repeatedly and able to be thrown away or disguised with a few well placed bites if the fuzz is onto you.

Recently, I was checking out some of the other sites on the internet that offer services to humble smokers like ourselves. One place, Strain Brain, was especially cool. Using an artificial intelligence similar to facial recognition technology, Strain brain is able to accept user uploaded photos of Cannabis and identify them based on the photo collection it has previously amassed. In short, submit your pot, and get a list of possible matches to the photo you have uploaded.

This service is hands-down something that the medicinal community has to have in order to #1 identify strains and #2 on that identification decide if the medicine procured serves the users personal needs. Also, it just removes confusion and possible Tom Foolery. As if that was too much for you, they also are affiliated with the website Pot Locator whom are able to submit to the user possible medicinal locations based to obtain more of the photo they have provided (great for searching).

I believe this is a great program that even in its infancy offers multitudes of possible solutions to very solid and current issues in our community. A gravity bong can be made out of pretty much anything ranging from cans to bottles to buckets to bathtubs to lakes to submarines to whatever, which is the reason why it is so awesome… it gives an outstanding versatility that leaves an enormous room for creativity. This is not to mention the fact that gravity bongs (if done right) can give monster rips that can put any Stoner into the couch. A gb works by using different pressures, the lower pressure of the chamber filled with smoke through an opening like a bowl (here a 2 Liter) to the pressure of the air outside which is not in the presence of water molecules (here a 3 Liter) slowing it down against a small opening (bowl). Simply put, you fill a bowl, apply fire, pull the top chamber until it fills with smoke, take off the cap, then push it down to shotgun the smoke into your mouth. On to the Materials.

Materials

“The Soda” is a GeeB that is an extremely easy setup that can be made from things that are just around the house. You will require:

• 3 Liter Soda Bottle + cap
• 2 Liter Soda Bottle + cap
• Knife/Scissors or Other Cutting Instrument
• Drill or Lighter ***(Knife will work)
• Bowl, Socket, or a Hose

Obviously, things in this list can be switched around to match what you personally have. Once again, that is the joy of such a bong. The hardest item for this particular bong to procure might be the 3 Liter bottle, as it seems they have faltered in popularity; but if that is the case, I am sure you can come up with a body of water to use. I just advocate for the 3 Liter because it is fairly portable and it fits well with the 2 Liter.
