Trippy under the microscope

"It is a widely accepted fact that cannabis (...and other great hallucinogens) have been linked numerous times to allowing people everywhere; from writers, to artists, and even amongst the most advent doodlers as being a smooth gateway to better and more insightful pieces of art. So take your brush of choice and blow some minds... this is Stoner Art."
Having a handy microscope on hand can be quite entertaining when you're high. You can find them for pretty cheap (got mine for around $15) and it can zoom in up to 100x. Besides using it to scope out the trichomes on the newest dank you have, you can view into another world of microscopic awesomeness. For those of you that don't have a microscope to play around with, take a look at some of the trippy pictures of stuff I found online taken with high powered microscopes. The cancer particles under the microscope look especially malicious. There's just something super crazy about the vibrant red colors in them.

Record-head

Here we have some "Stoner Art" submitted by one of our readers. She is an upcoming artist and hopefully we will be seeing much from her throughout the life of Stoner Schematics. This particular piece was painted on a piece of cardboard (if you can believe that), and it is very peculiar but interesting as well. If I could think of one word for this one it would be: tantalizing. I feel that it really delves into the complexities of the human mind in simplistic fashion that is almost indescribable. What do you think?

I actually liked the art direction so much, that I actually decided to turn this one into a trippy animated gif. Enjoy. (Give the gif a little time to load)

Grizzly Bear

"Hippies and flower children of the 60's would always describe one sick beat of any nature as being "Groovy" or "Far out". We feel the same way. It doesn't matter if it's guitar, bass, violin, piano, ukulele, anything! This is the beats that intoxicate our brains, blow our minds, and really send us ...well... Far out man." ----> Got suggestions for music? E-mail Pistachio or E-mail Dignan

Grizzly Bear is a band out of Brooklyn that focuses on the folk/psychedelic smooth music tones. I picked up their album, Veckatimest this weekend and haven't been able to stop listening; It's so easy to get lost in the melody of their Harmonic voices if you're not careful. I thought their video ( Ready, Able) was rather creative with all of the stop animation of the play doh sculptures.
Two weeks has become my favorite track on the CD so far, but their video creeps me out a bit with their freaky ass eyes. I can't seem to get the lyrics out of my head now that I've listened to the track so much lately.
